Shopping and Baking

Yesterday I went to buy a few supplies I needed to bake Alfajores, which are delicious sandwiches of crumbly cookies with a center of dulce de leche.

I really wanted to get a Kitchen Aid mixer but my kitchen I don't have as much storage space as I'd like to so I resisted the temptation of getting one and buying a hand mixer.

The cookies turned out fantastic. the cookies melt in my mouth and aren't too sweet so the taste of the dulce de leche is not overpowering.

Can't wait to share them with my friends!!!

  4. Oh my word, those cookies look so yummy! My dad's store makes dulce de leche cheesecake and it's good enough to die for. I can't even imagine how good it would be in cookie form. You've got some lucky friends there. ;)
