Friday in June

Dear June: You are coming to an end tomorrow and with you go the first 6 months of the year. Also, you mark the end of an era in my life and the beginning of a new one, and even if I'm not fully convinced it is the best one for me I have to accept and embrace it... I've decided to have a good time.

As for you 2012, you have been a bit unfriendly {to say the least} with me and as much as I want to ask you what's the purpose I can only keep my head up and not give up... I'm just going to enjoy the ride and leave all the fear behind.

My dear friends, you might ask what's going on and without too many details I'm letting you know that  I'll be leaving the US sometime during the first 2 weeks of July {because life has a twisted sense of humor}. Nothing is going to change here... on the contrary, I'll concentrate more on things related to design and my other passions {food, hotels and travel}.

The past few months have been difficult as I really love the life I've had here so far because I've met the most amazing people, made the best friends anyone can ask for, and had the most unbelievable experiences one could wish.

I will certainly keep you posted on where things take me as I'm not really sure where my next destination really is. For the moment, next week {right after 4th of July} I'll be going to NYC to take some days off, relax, see my friends, and recharge batteries for whatever comes next... If you're in town let me know to see if we can grab a bite or drink.

I have no links today but I cannot sign out for the weekend without thanking all of you for reading and commenting on what this girl has to say. Have a great time and NEVER give up on your dreams.

Take care and see you Monday,

                                                         Elie

  6. Hi dear, can't believe that half the year has past by so fast. You sound so brave and strong even though you mentioned the difficult time you've been through. I always believe that everything happens for a reason, so whatever is next for you, I only wish that its bigger, brighter and better and brings you lots of joy and success.

  32. When one door closes, another one opens my dear. I know you have many amazing things in your future and I only wish you all the best!! I'll be traveling for the next week but enjoy your time in NYC.

  33. I agree with Tamra completley, when one door closes it just means that another door is opening, its being ready for the next new and exciting adventure which is the challenge. For some reason I really connected with your words in this though so I love that you shared it, although potentially feeling like there's some un sure times ahead. New York sounds amazing though, make sure you do recharge those batteries however.
