Celebration Friday

Another year has come and gone and I still haven't grown up a bit... ha! What have I learned in this past year? Let me tell you, I've learned a lot.

I learned once and for all that it makes no sense on keeping stuff just for keeping it... clutter weighs you down and delays all your processes, from getting dressed to sheding emotional baggage.

My sister´s boomerang comment is so true... be caureful what you send out there, because just like a boomerang it will come back for you to rightfully catch it or to hit you in the head.

I am better than what I thought I was as a woman, as a professional, and as a human being all around... Self Awareness is precious and needs to be cultivated.

Avoid yes people and embrace the tough love. Honesty is key but remeber to say things nicely... there's no need to hurt those you love.

Friends are seriously priceless. Never judge them. Be there to laugh and cry with them. Travel with them. And always tell them how much you love them.

Dreams are to be pursued fearlessly, passionately, without shame, and when you achieve it, love it, enjoy it, and live it with everything you have.

Finally, love your family. Mine has been there to hold my hand all this year and I could not be more thankful I've laughed with them for all this time.

As I light another set of birthday candles, I thank all of you for being here, for your sweet comments and hope I get to write another one of this posts next year.

Have a nice weekend!

  20. Best lessons ever. Happy Birthday, my dear friend. (Did you ever get my postcard from Scotland? I've asked the two other people I sent ones to and no one has gotten them at all! I'd hate to think yours was lost in the mail too...)
