Al Sur

One of my greatest regrets is not taking the trip on PCH when I lived in California. One of the places I'd like to visit on that trip would be Big Sur on the Central Coast.

This part of the coast offers stunning views as it is a large region where the Saint Lucia mountains suddenly rise from the Pacific Ocean. It is located in Monterey county between Carmel and San Simeon which makes it quite ideal for any road trip.

Big Sur is well know for outdoor activities like hiking and camping, looking at whales or grey condors, a little surfing, or its active bohemian artistic lifestyle.

Definitely a place where one can stop by on a road trip or a romantic relaxing destination... your choice!

Have a great day!

  1. I love being immersed in nature and this looks like the perfect place to do that in, the first image is so beautifully scenic.

  6. Gorgeous photos- I was born in Fremont, so my parents would take me up to camp these parts when I was wee. :)

  11. Big Sur is calling you. You must go back. After living in California for 10 years I finally drove the 101 from San Diego to San Francisco. It is magical!

  12. Thanks for sharing this! I'm actually planning a trip with my husband from L.A to SF in the new year and was looking to stop by Big Sur, I've been there when I was younger but really don't remember much so I'm really looking forward to it :)
