Drinking Chocolate

There are very few things that make you want to cozy up with a blanket and a book than a nice cup of hot chocolate. I got inspired for this blog by the multiple winter images I got to see over the weekend from so many of you.

I have all the candy cane left over from my Advent Calendar and when I came across this recipes I was delighted to know I could put them to good use... {Recipe 1 and Recipe 2}.

Adding to the comforting and even healthy effects of dark chocolate, chiles or cayenne pepper can give this delicious beverage an extra warming kick... great for those who have a hard time warming up during winter! {Recipe 1 and Recipe 2}.

Chocolate is the by product of the cacao bean and has been part of the diet of the indigenous populations of what is today Latin America... the most famous of them being Mexican chocolate which is richer and less refined than the one we buy at the super market {Recipes 1 and Recipe 2}.

Finally, there are other alternatives to the typical hot chocolate like those infused with tea or white chocolate, which is a great alternative for those who are allergic or intolerant to the dark kind {Recipe 1 and Recipe 2}.

Have a delicious day!
