Rest on Friday

I'm sure we all need a little bit and since the forecast is calling for showers over the weekend I know I'll be very much in the mood to relax and make it to the movie to see Moonrise Kingdom {love Wes Anderson!}. Also, I'll be planning a trip to NY, which is getting a bit pricey because hotels are crazy expensive... Crazy!

Yesterday was a sad day in music with the passing of Donna Summer and woman with an amazing voice and a legacy of great music!

Here are this week's links:

Have a fantastic weekend my friends!

  5. That is very sad about Donna Summer.

There's a blog called Hotel Chatter and they were talking recently about a new hotel that opened in Manhattan(similar to Ace) at about $150ish a night. I can't remember the name right now but it was within the last month or two. Still not cheap for someplace you are just going to sleep but relatively cheap for the city. I'm very lucky to have family in the area.

    Have a great weekend!

  9. Last night my husband gathered my in his arms and said, "We are going to see a movie next Friday. I don't care what you have planned, this will be happening." He has been waiting for this movie for FOREVER. I just laughed.

  24. There are some hotels in NYC that have smaller rooms with twin beds - still really clean and modern - but a lot cheaper. I haven't checked them out yet but I'll report back once I do!
